On 10 February 2022, the rail industry will unite face to face to discuss regional investment plans and equip the supply chain with the essential knowledge required to build a sustainable, connected regional railway that stimulates economic growth.
Last year’s unveiling of the Integrated Rail Plan included a pledge to build the Midlands Rail Hub, which will increase capacity, commitment to a fully electrified Midlands Main Line and confirmation that the western section of HS2 Phase 1b will be built amongst other things.
The IRP and cross-border engagement with the North will be the subject of the forthcoming TransCityRail event in February along with the significance of rail in economic growth, improving passenger experience and how we aim to attain a Zero Carbon Railway.
