RFG AGM & Autumn Meeting – Rail Freight Group
The RFG AGM and Autumn Group meeting will take place in Doncaster on Wednesday 9th November. The group meeting will follow the short AGM with a presentation by two freight specialists from GBRTT (Great British Railway Transition Team). We will also hear about the opportunities and challenges of increasing rail freight from Eddie Stobart and Samskip, while a DB Cargo speaker will give an overview of business over the last few years and plans for the future. Wabtec will also discuss its increasing involvement in the rail freight industry and all delegates will be given the opportunity to visit their nearby facility.
The day will commence with coffee and registration at 09:00 with the AGM following at 09:30. The meeting will conclude at 13:00 followed by lunch. After lunch at14:00 there will be an optional tour of the Wabtec facilities. Following the tour the coach will return delegates back to the hotel and Doncaster railway station16:00 – 16.30.
The evening prior to the meeting, Tuesday 8th November, there will be an informal dinner held at the Holiday Inn, kindly sponsored by Wabtec for delegates and speakers, who are staying over.
