The Department for Business and Trade is offering an excellent opportunity for UK companies with experience in railways infrastructure to meet key Argentine stakeholders and decision-makers.
Argentina is bringing back to life what is the world’s eighth largest rail network. During the last nine years, the national government has focused the investment plan in track renewal, electrification, new rolling stock, stations, workshops and technology. They are also transitioning to open access in freight.
At a municipal level, the Buenos Aires underground´s +60km network continues to grow, with a new line in the pipeline.
The programme will include:
- Political, economic and sector briefings
- Presentation of current and upcoming projects
- 7th edition of our Railways Technical Seminar with presentations by UK companies
- Meetings with potential partners and buyers
- Drinks reception at HM Ambassador’s Residence
- Site visits
