The government has launched a green paper on the UK’s future Industrial Strategy and is seeking views on this by 17th April. The Railway Industry Association (RIA) will be responding on behalf of the Rail Supply Group and their members and RFM and Rail Alliance will also be responding on behalf of our respective members. Rather than run separate events independently of each other we are working together to provide a joined up approach.
A series of consultation events are planned across the country. RFM will be hosting the Midlands event on Friday 10th March between 9.30am and 1.00pm. The event is open to RFM, RIA and Rail Alliance members. Other organisations wishing to attend are encouraged to contact us to discuss their potential input.
It is clear that Government will listen most closely to those sectors which are consistent and coherent in expressing both their needs and the potential economic benefits throughout the UK. Response to this consultation will be very important for the industry as a whole and for the supply chain in particular so the more that response can be informed by your experience and expertise the better.
