The event will showcase twelve ground-breaking projects that have come through the Innovation in Railway Construction programme
On Thursday 20th March, the Global Centre of Rail Excellence will be holding an Innovation in Railway Construction Demonstration Day in partnership with Innovate UK. The all-day will be held at the GCRE site in South Wales.
The event will showcase twelve ground-breaking projects that have come through the £7.4m Innovation in Railway Construction Programme. The programme is being funded by the UK Government’s Department of Business and Trade and organised by Innovate UK. GCRE is playing host to the competition on infrastructure developed at the GCRE site.
To give you an idea of the technology and live installations we will have running on the day, more detail can be found on the first, successful demonstration day held in December last year at the GCRE site.

At our demonstration day we will be inviting industry stakeholders and key contacts from across Europe to see the projects and understand the international potential of the Global Centre of Rail Excellence as a site for world class rail and mobility research, testing and showcasing.
