Are you recruiting into Engineering or related roles?
On Wednesday 01 February 2023, 12noon-6pm, Derby City Council will be hosting the Diversity In2 Engineering: Apprenticeship and Jobs Fair at Derby College, The Roundhouse.
The Diversity In2 Engineering Apprenticeship and Jobs Fair aims to attract hundreds of individuals from diverse backgrounds keen to find out what engineering could offer them.
The fair will consist of 30 employer stands and four workshops – to ignite interest, inspire curiosity and increase application into engineering roles.
Employers hosting a stand will have the opportunity to meet all 350 engineering students from Derby College, hundreds of secondary school pupils, UoD graduates as well as hundreds of local residents. We have intentionally created a diversity focus for this event, to attract a more diverse audience, considering the underrepresentation of certain groups within engineering.
Currently we have a number of employers confirmed such as Alstom, Rolls Royce, Network Rail, Vaillant and M&S. We have a number of stands remaining and are eager to fill these ASAP.
All stands are FREE to employers – we are looking to host employers with vacancies in Derby or the surrounding travel to work area. To reserve your FREE stand please contact Employmentandskills@derby.gov.uk – stands will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
This event is supported by a working group of partners including Derby College Group, Rolls Royce, AEGIS, The Resolute Group, Women in Rail, Young Rail Professionals and the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network and is sponsored by Alstom and Network Rail.
Attendee information for this event can be found on our Eventbrite page https://bit.ly/3UFlDWr.
