WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
‘Power & Energy’ is the second in the new bi-monthly series of Clean Futures Catalyst networking events, launched following the first hugely successful ‘Business Loves the Planet’ networking event held on Valentines Day.
Delivered as part of the ‘Future Fuels’ challenge theme, the networking event will explore the broader discussion of how we successfully transition away from fossil fuels toward alternative and renewable energy sources, which is absolutely essential to the regional and national decarbonisation agenda and achieving our global net zero targets.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Our networking events are designed to enhance connection and collaboration between businesses who are already – or would like to find out more about – working in the ‘green’ innovation sectors.
For attendees with a focused interest in future fuels for the transport sector, the networking will be followed by a Catalyst best practice workshop, entitled ‘Fast Track to Future Fuels’. For information on this click here.
WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?
The networking event will take place at the Very Light Rail National Innovation Centre (VLRNIC) on Wednesday 17th April from 08:00am to 10.00am, in its 130-seater Auditorium.
The agenda will include presentations from BCIMO and guest speaker, Lee Tapping – Managing Director of Maisum Renewable Energy, and will include plenty of opportunities to meet and chat with other businesses alongside the BCIMO team.

WHAT IS THE CLEAN FUTURES CATALYST?
The Clean Futures Catalyst, part of the Clean Futures programme, aims to support transport-related businesses in the West Midlands with the early research and development of clean tech innovations at Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) 1-4 – and then throughout their innovation journey – through an extensive programme of free networking events, best practice visits / workshops and webinars.
The Catalyst was officially launched by Clean Futures project partner, Coventry University, on the 28th February at the STEAMhouse in Birmingham.
Both Coventry University and ourselves, the Black Country Innovative Manufacturing Organisation (BCIMO), will be hosting Catalyst events, with the overall aim of developing a West Midlands based Clean Futures Ecosystem.
