Established in 1977, the Deltic Preservation Society owns, restores and maintains three of the legendary Class 55 Deltic locomotives.

Two are hired out for both main line (Network Rail) special charters and also to heritage railways gala events. The third locomotive is undergoing major rebuild.

The DPS welcomes inquiries from interested operators and businesses keen to hire these examples of British railway engineering at its finest.
