Following the huge success of our previous two events ‘Military is Good for Rail’ is planning to be back on 27 May 2021. This year we will be offering a virtual online event using our highly interactive networking platform.
The day will provide an opportunity for companies to have an online table enabling them to meet and network with a range of people who have recently left, or are planning their exit from, the UK’s armed forces and who are looking for new career opportunities. Attendees will include all ranks including senior officers from the army, navy and air force and we are working closely with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to promote the event to interested individuals.
The format will be similar to the previous events with a very short welcome followed by plenty of time for individuals to chat informally to companies about the type of jobs they may have coming up and for them to identify the range of career opportunities potentially available.
The event will open at 09.00 running through until 13.00 with a mid morning break. We will use our tried and tested highly interactive networking platform with each participating company hosting a table (rather than a stand). The platform supports video chat between individuals on the table with the opportunity for delegates to move freely from table to table and have more private one:one conversations at smaller tables if appropriate. We would be delighted to demonstrate the platform to interested organisations prior to you making a decision to get involved.
Companies wishing to attend and have a table will need to make a small contribution to the cost as follows:
RFM Patrons and Gold Members : FREE – this event is included in your membership fee
RFM Members £125 plus VAT
non RFM Members £250 plus VAT (please note that we are not able to accommodate non member recruitment agencies on this occasion).
This represents exceptionally good value compared to normal careers fairs that companies attend.
Having a range of companies in attendance from infrastructure managers and contractors, to rolling stock manufacture and maintenance, digital solutions, consultancies and train operators etc. attracts a far wider audience than single company events which is why CTP are so keen to repeat the successful formula we have developed previously.
