Loughborough University has recently agreed an exciting new collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – Centre for Transport and Logistics, creating the Loughborough based ‘UK Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Centre‘. This endeavour aims to leverage the existing expertise of MIT (which is ranked #1 in the world for this area) in combination with our own knowledge on circular economies and digitalisation to create a central hub for supply chain innovation and talent development in the UK.
We are hosting a symposium event on 7 October where we’re planning to welcome around 100 key stakeholders and business leaders to share our vision for industry collaboration, research, and professional education, whilst gathering valuable input from those with a vested interest in the success of UK supply chain innovation. It is a full-day event with a mixture of speakers, workshop sessions and a networking dinner in the evening.
We’ll be hosting a range of guest speakers (view them all here), including:
- Sir John Peace – Chairman of Midlands Engine
- Chris Caplice – Executive Director of MIT CTL
- Jo Pick – Chief People Officer at Wincanton
- Judith Richardson – Head of Sustainability at Argon & Co UK
- Professor Tim Lawrence – Director of Digital Supply Chain at Digital Catapult
The event is aimed at senior managers, executives, or policymakers and is priced at £120 a head, or a reduced rate of £100 a head for full table bookings (10 people).
