MHFA was founded over 20 years ago in Australia and is now present in 27 countries with 5 million people trained thus far. MHFAiders® help to enhance employee wellbeing and provide a psychologically safe environment for employees to reach out to when needed.  Benefits include reducing time off work, giving well researched options for resolution, using proven techniques and encouraging appropriate action when necessary including options for services relevant to the specific needs of the individual.  In turn, this creates a secure, more productive and communicative team

This course provides confidence and well researched knowledge of how employees can support a team member who is experiencing poor mental health including a mental health crisis for example suicidal intent or panic attacks.  Training equips the learners with an understanding of safe ways to respond to those in need and to offer a guide to effective ways forward in a variety of situations.
