For the first time in history, HICSE is proud to announce that it has secured not one, but two nominations for the prestigious Hitachi Group Awards. This year, the nominations spotlight innovative projects from both the IT and Marketing teams.
The IT team’s nomination centres around the MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) project. MECM, a technology provided by HEU, automates updates, software deployment, computer setup, and other critical IT functions. Successfully adopted and integrated by HICSE, MECM has revolutionised IT management by saving significant time and enhancing the security of HICSE’s IT infrastructure. The project has not only boosted IT stability but also inspired the team through the acquisition of new skills and the notable improvements in quality, consistency, and security.
Simultaneously, the Sales & Marketing team has been recognised for their exemplary efforts in advancing HICSE’s EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) strategy. Under the leadership of Carolyn Robins, Marketing and Communications Lead at HICSE, the team has implemented a comprehensive range of tools and initiatives to support staff and promote inclusive working environments. These include regular newsletters, Mental Health First Aiders, a Positive Impacts Group, and a Wellness Corner, offering resources to support staff both professionally and personally. Carolyn’s empathetic approach and unwavering determination have propelled the EDI strategy beyond its original scope, inspiring colleagues throughout the wider Hitachi Group to adopt similar initiatives.
HICSE celebrates these nominations as a testament to the dedication, innovation, and collaborative spirit of its teams.
