The One Big Circle team are honoured to be one of just 252 organisations to receive the 2024 Kings Award for Enterprise.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, is the highest official UK awards programme for British Businesses. The prestigious awards were first established in 1965 and since then over 7000 companies have achieved a King’s Award. 2024 marks the second year of The King’s Awards for Enterprise, reflecting His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses.
Companies are awarded for “outstanding achievement” in four categories; International Trade, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity, to recognise businesses who promote social mobility.
One Big Circle received the Kings Award for Enterprise for their innovation within the Rail Industry for their ground-breaking AIVR technology, developed for safe and remote condition monitoring for critical national infrastructure. AIVR (Automated Intelligent Video Review) is deployed across the UK railway by Network Rail, Transport for Wales and multiple operators, and captures high-definition imagery from Forward Facing Video, Thermal, Line-scanning and Overhead sensors, and also other data types to help increase remote inspection capability, ultimately helping the railway run more smoothly and increasing worker safety.
AIVR enables over 8,000 users throughout the UK rail network to remotely undertake a range of remote project work including signalling design, safety access planning, track maintenance planning, and more, to support users to navigate project sites in a safer, more efficient manner, whilst reducing time spent on-site and the associated costs and risks of being near the track.
With AIVR supplying many benefits throughout the rail industry, the One Big Circle team are thrilled to have their hard work acknowledged.
