- Governor of Bank of England toured award-winning specialist steel fabricator five-acre facility
- He also took time out to meet company’s apprentice welder / fabricators
Andrew Bailey, the Governor of the Bank of England, made a special visit to Adey Steel.
Andrew, who was appointed to the role of Governor of the Bank of England in 2020, took time out from his busy schedule to tour the company’s purpose-built factory on the Falcon Business Park in Loughborough.
The 64-year-old, who was born in Leicestershire, spent several hours in his home county with colleagues from the Bank of England gaining an insight into the award-winning, family-owned-and-operated business. He also met with the company’s current welder / fabricator apprentices, who recently celebrated National Apprenticeship Week in conjunction with Leicester College.
