Speakers include Katie Day of Transport for the North, who will discuss the organisation’s freight and logistics strategy as well as Chris Rowley, Network Rail’s Capacity Planning Director, who will cover the opportunities and challenges in identifying, protecting and improving freight capacity and the paths that work for operators and customers on the network.
Daniel Louisy, Founder and Managing Director, Ashville Aggregates will look at the importance of digital media to modern business, and Deanne Logan will explain how mentoring and coaching can accelerate the development of people to the benefit of both the individual and the organisation.

The meeting will take place 9am – 1pm and then, after lunch, there is an optional trip to Barrow Hill Roundhouse, which operates the last railway roundhouse with an operational turntable in Europe. The railway depot near Chesterfield, built in 1870, survives today as a fully functioning modern rail facility and it’s just about to reinvent itself again, on part of its 21-acre site, where a brand-new £5m rail research innovation centre building is to be constructed.
