In early June, specialist steel infrastructure fabricator Adey Steel were honoured to host Loughborough Conservative MP Jane Hunt to officially open their new 30,000 sq ft manufacturing facility adjacent to their existing factory in Loughborough. The new site has been opened to allow expansion in to manufacture of tubular piling for the rail, road and civils sectors with the company investing in new skills and state-of-the-art fabrication and welding machinery and equipment to ensure production is safe and efficient.
The move compliments Adey Steels position as a leading supplier of overhead line electrification structures to the UK market, having been primary suppliers on projects including Greater West, Midland Mainline, Core Valley Line and Scottish Decarb.
Managing Director of Adey Steel, Andrew Adey, commented, “The addition of this new facility allows us to expand our offering to both Network Rail and our Tier 1 customers providing not just above ground structures of OLE systems but now the below ground piling elements as well. We are excited about the opportunities this investment provides and look forward to supporting our electrification partners on major decarbonisation projects.”
This latest expansion supports Adey Steel in their growth strategy as a leading supplier of fabricated steel infrastructure to the transport sectors, including bridges, signal gantries, OLE structures, piling and bespoke structures.
