Rail Forum are pleased to launch a brand new in-person Infrastructure event: Mobilisation to Delivery.

Following on from last year’s Infrastructure collaboration event, we now find ourselves in a time of definite mobilisation, be it in advance of Control Period 7 in 2024 or elsewhere. So how are we delivering or going to deliver such projects?

Mobilisation to delivery refers to the process of transitioning and executing upcoming major projects. It involves multiple steps and activities to move from the planning and preparation phase to the successful implementation and completion of a project.

This event aims to be as ‘three dimensional’ as possible discussing in more depth some of the aspects involved in the mobilisation to delivery of upcoming major projects in rail including:

  1. The procurement and contracting processes
  2. Resource Allocation
  3. Stakeholder Engagement
  4. Construction and Implementation
  5. Monitoring and Reporting

Attendees will benefit from excellent networking opportunities in the extended break and networking lunch, and of course receive both the programme and delegate list in the joining instructions to help maximise their time.

We are delighted to confirm that AmcoGiffen, Rhomberg Sersa and Ricardo will be event partners.

We are delighted to announce that speakers already include:

  • Beth West, CEO, East West Rail
  • Joanne Griffiths, Programme Integration Director, Transpennine Route Upgrade
  • Ruth Todd, CCO, HS2
  • Mike Contopoulos, Project Director for Buildings & Civils, Network Rail Wales & Western
  • Jason Marbeck, Strategy & Development Director, AmcoGiffen
  • Martin Smith, MD (Major Projects), Story Contracting
  • Andy Daley & Kevin Lock, Programme Commercial Manager (CP7 Development Capital Works Delivery), Network Rail Southern

Who should attend?

Infrastructure personnel wanting to find out more about opportunities arising from CP7 / major projects and understanding how mobilisation for big projects takes place and tackling, adapting and overcoming all the challenges that come with it. Attendees may also have an interest in hearing how the successful delivery of certain projects can help begin to tackle key issues in the industry such as Integration and connectivity, capacity and reliability.
