AEGIS Engineering Systems and the University of Huddersfield have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support the collaboration between the two entities in R&D and Innovation activities as well as training programmes.
The signing of this MOU with the University of Huddersfield was one of the priorities for the new AEGIS Innovation service.
The University of Huddersfield and the Institute of Railway Research have a long history of working closely with innovative industrial technology companies and AEGIS represents a key new partner in developing innovative services and products for the rail sector.
Paul Allen, Director of the Institute of Railway Research says: “We are excited to sign this new agreement and it was apparent from our first meeting there were clear synergies between our two operations. With this being a critical factor for a successful collaboration, I am confident we will develop a fruitful R&D partnership with AEGIS. We will be looking to work across a wide portfolio of activity from R&D, training, KTP programmes and direct support services to industry, an approach that should facilitate benefits for both parties over the coming months.”
