‘Military is Good for Rail’

Date/Time
Date(s) - October 19 2022
9:30am - 3:00pm

Location
The Derby Conference Centre

Following the huge success of our previous Introduction to the Rail Industry for armed forces leavers we are delighted to be hosting a fourth event in Derby on 19th October 2022.

The day will provide an opportunity for companies to have a small stand* enabling them to meet and network with a range of people who have recently left, or are planning their exit from, the UK’s armed forces and who are looking for new career opportunities. Attendees will include all ranks from the army, navy and air force and we are working closely with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP)  to promote the event to interested individuals. Previous events have typically attracted between 120-150 delegates.

The format for the day is a short introduction to the industry by 2-3 people who have made the transition to civilian life followed by plenty of time for individuals to chat informally to companies about the type of jobs they may have coming up and for them to identify the range of career opportunities potentially available. There is plenty of space for more in-depth, one to one conversations, with individuals about a specific role or opportunity.

Companies wishing to attend will need to make a small contribution to the cost (this will cover venue hire and lunch costs for the attendees) and is as follows:

Rail Forum Members £320 plus VAT  (complimentary for Gold /Patron members)

non Rail Forum Members £450 plus VAT

This represents exceptionally good value compared to normal careers fairs that companies attend.

Having a range of companies in attendance from infrastructure managers and contractors, to rolling stock manufacture and maintenance, digital solutions and consultancies etc. attracts a far wider audience than single company events which is why CTP are so keen to repeat the successful formula we developed previously.

We have two partnership opportunities for this event which includes credit as partner in all social media and promotional materials, opportunity to speak on the day and credit as partner for delegate lunch at the event. For further information on this or the event in general please contact elaine@railforum.uk

To book your stand please complete the booking/registration below.  Please ignore the cost / invoice comment below if you are a Gold/Patron member – you will not be invoiced.

* stand space includes a table / space for 2 small pop up banners and electrical socket (if required).

Sorry, bookings for this event are closed.
