Elite KL were invited to meet with senior Stadler representatives during April 2022. This was to celebrate the award and first delivery of the first Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) modules for the Tyne and Wear metro project.
On the first day, the team at Elite KL were invited to see the Stadler facility in Bussnang and to hold meetings with senior personnel on site. They were joined by UK government officials from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as well as the local representative from the Department for International Trade (DIT). The tour included a look at the broad range of vehicle types under construction in Stadler’s impressive factory.
The second day was an official reception at the residency of the UK Ambassador to Switzerland, to celebrate the success of Elite KL with Stadler. The lunch was hosted by Mrs Jane Owen, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The Director for Trade for DIT, Mr. Noel McEvoy, the Head of Trade, Emmeline Steiner-Holmes and Daniela Schild the Trade Officer for DIT also joined Elite KL for the lunch.
