Rail Forum Midlands (RFM) are delighted to open the applications for this year’s exciting new supplier engagement activity taking place at the Modern Railway’s RVE show.
Focussing on major opportunity areas including decarbonisation and accessibility, suppliers have a great opportunity to highlight their newly developed products and services that could be of interest to the range of customer organisations taking part.
“Whilst the last 18 months have hampered many activities, we know that the industry has been busy utilising this time to create solutions which can help the railway deliver more for its customers” said RFM CEO, Elaine Clark. “RVE BigIdea presents a wonderful opportunity to pitch these developed products and services to a range of very interested parties, culminating in very valuable face to face meetings at the RVE show in November”.
Themes for RVE Big Idea

- Asset Optimisation – provision of solutions which optimises utilisation of vehicles or enhances services to customers (passengers and freight)
- Decarbonisation– provision of solutions that significantly contribute to the NetZero agenda
- Productivity – provision of solutions that can drive productivity gains for railway activity with specific focus on rolling stock

With every submission being reviewed by all the customers, suppliers can be reassured that their developments will be considered carefully. Customers will make their own selections and meetings will take place in person at RVE Expo on 4 November 2021, in Derby.
The range of customers taking part creates a broad opportunity for innovative companies offering performance enhancing solutions across the industry:
