TP Matrix Ltd is thrilled to announce that we have secured a major contract with Transport for London to overhaul the Temperature Control Units (TCUs) for their S8 fleet!
When the OEM declared these units obsolete, leaving no further support options, the situation seemed to demand a costly replacement of the entire fleet. However, at TP Matrix, we specialise in solutions that extend the life of critical systems—saving resources and reducing waste.
We’ll be designing and building a bespoke Test Box to ensure precision and reliability. We will then be replacing 78 components in each unit to restore them to full operational efficiency. Suitable alternative components have been identified and verified by our engineering team to eliminate the obsolescence issues.
The project is set to begin in May 2025, and we couldn’t be prouder to support TfL in keeping their fleet running smoothly.
