Cairn Cross, a leading design-and-build rail infrastructure provider, today announced that its quality management system has achieved ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018 certifications.

The ISO 9001:2015, ISO 1400:20151 and 45001:2018 standards are a globally recognised framework for quality management systems. It provides a set of requirements for organisations to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve a quality management system. This certification demonstrates Cairn Cross’s dedication to client satisfaction and continuous improvement.

ISO 9001:2015 covers the quality management system requirements. 14001 focuses on environmental management requirements, and 45001 concentrates on occupational health and safety management of the business.

Waheed Oluwasegun, Compliance Manager at Cairn Cross, shares, “This is an excellent achievement that demonstrates our commitment to working at the highest health and safety standards. We recently updated and implemented a new integrated management system to streamline and increase efficiency in our work practices. Completing the audit has been a testament to everyone in the business who has made this a success.

“Our Work Safe Live Safe strategy for the Health and Safety of our workforce is driven by our desire to create a positive safety culture and ensuring all levels of staff and supply chain are incorporated into our efforts. This strategy looks to go beyond the traditional health and safety role of preventing harm and promote a vigilant and proactive culture towards everyone’s health and safety in the workplace.”

Cairn Cross underwent a rigorous audit process conducted by a third-party certification body to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 standards. This achievement reflects the company’s dedication to providing its customers with the highest quality products and services.

Cairn Cross initially gained the certification in 2009. The company has since doubled its workforce and delivered over 250 projects on rail infrastructure, train maintenance depots, highways, bridges, and structures.
