October 2024 – Unipart Rail has announced a strategic partnership with Racine Railroad Products UK. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing rail industry standards and enhancing efficiency in global maintenance operations.
Racine Railroad Products, a pioneer in innovative rail maintenance products, is a division of Racine Railroad Products Inc., who have been designing, manufacturing, and servicing quality maintenance-of-way equipment since 1970.
The partnership, which was officially launched at InnoTrans 2024, will introduce a range of groundbreaking new battery powered tools for the maintenance and enhancement of the rail infrastructure, which offer a sustainable approach to operations by reducing the reliance on traditional power sources.
All products are designed to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety in railway operations and incorporate a variety of unique features for all rail requirements including interchangeable batteries – one battery fits all tools, and a lightweight and ergonomic design.
Approved by Network Rail, the tools are all portable, allowing maintenance teams access to even the most challenging and remote locations with ease and they are all HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome) tested in accordance with the relevant BS EN standard, therefore increasing safety for operators.
