CWE is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ricky Ravenhill as the new Head of Commercial.
Ricky joined the company in 2022 as Commercial Manager, and with over 10 years of engineering and manufacturing experience, will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of business and innovation at CWE.

After leaving school, Ricky spent 18 years as a professional footballer representing clubs such as Doncaster Rovers, Bradford City, Notts County, Northampton and Mansfield. Upon leaving the game in 2015, Ricky obtained a bachelor’s degree and subsequently joined the world of recruitment, specialising in engineering and manufacturing. After leaving his role there as head of business, he joined CWE as Commercial Manager, where he has been able to bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the company’s commercial strategies.
In his new position, Ricky will oversee all commercial operations, including sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships. His immediate priorities will include optimising existing processes, exploring new markets, and enhancing customer engagement.
Ricky said: “I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my CWE journey, especially now we have strengthened our marketing offerings with the recent acquisition by William Cook Rail. We have lots of exciting projects in the pipeline, so I’m eager to jump straight into the challenge, and develop new and strengthen current relationships.”
