Aura Brand Solutions announce the installation of a 293kWp solar panel system on the roof of their Lowestoft manufacturing facility. This initiative follows a recent structural survey conducted by qualified engineers, enabling Aura to further align operations with a steadfast commitment to environmental responsibility and a mission to operate off green energy.
The reinvestment of profit in this initiative supports Aura’s goal of becoming a carbon neutral business and helps to preserve natural resources by creating and using renewable energy.
The solar panels, expertly installed by trusted contractor, Genfit, are expected to produce 40% of our own electricity annually. During the months of May, June, and July, the excess energy generated will be sold back to the National Grid, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable energy ecosystem.
Despite challenging weather conditions, Genfit successfully installed over 550 solar panels during the course of a week. In addition to the solar panel installation, three Electric Vehicle charging stations will also be introduced to the site. This aligns with Aura’s move to electric and hybrid company cars and a dedication to making progress with the goals in Aura’s Sustainability Policy and ESG Strategy.
This investment marks a milestone in Aura’s ongoing sustainability journey and reinforces Aura’s commitment to being an industry leader in environmental stewardship. As Aura continues to grow, so does the pursuit of innovative solutions that benefit both business and the planet.
