KeTech, in partnership with Thales Ground Transportation Systems (GTS), has been awarded by Transport for London (TfL) with a contract to design, prototype, test, and production approve the next generation of Jubilee & Northern Line Train Operator Display (TOD).
Following a competitive tender process, KeTech has been selected partner to support the successful entry into service of the next generation TOD, which is critical to maintaining train operational availability of the Jubilee & Northern line fleet. KeTech have expertise in Driver Advisory Systems (DAS), and have a proven understanding of the TfL environment.
Thales GTS as the SELTRAC-IS design authority, and KeTech as the DAS experts, will jointly undertake the design, prototype, test, and production approve, with the first batch of units expected to be installed onto Jubilee and Northern Line fleet by early 2026.
The next generation of TOD will provide OPEX benefits to TfL, through increased reliability and performance, cross-fleet compatibility, and an improved maintenance regime.
