Thursdays really are the new Fridays for commuters travelling from Bolton to Manchester.
Northern has chosen this popular route to introducing ‘£3 Thursdays’, with commuters able to bag discounted £3 return tickets to Manchester.
Leisure journeys are also included in the promotion, with a minimum of 1500 tickets available throughout the day.
The special fares are only available through Northern’s website and app and must be purchased three or more days in advance.
Mark Powles, customer and commercial director at Northern, said: “Our £3 return tickets are available all day – helping Boltonians ‘go do their thing’ for less.
“Tickets are on a first come, first serve basis – so those looking to take advantage should book early to avoid disappointment.”
