Trackelast Delkor Baseplates given full NR acceptance

Trackelast, a division of Tiflex Limited, are the UK Distributor for Delkor Baseplates and are pleased to announce that the resilient Delkor ALT417 & ALT523 Baseplates have been given full Network Rail Acceptance following tests at several test sites.

The Baseplates come in 3 stiffness variants for different operating conditions (18kN/mm, 22kN/mm & 35kN/mm) and the rail seats are designed to secure both CEN56 and CEN60 rails with standard Pandrol type fasteners. They can be used on new installations or retrofitted to pre-existing fixed track forms to help reduce; peak / fatigue both horizontal and vertical loading, provide stiffness transition between fixed and ballasted track and reduce structure-borne noise and vibration.

Danny Millard Technical Sales Executive for Trackelast Products said:

“Following a lot of hard work by both Tiflex and Delkor personnel, we are delighted that these two types of baseplates have been given full Network Rail Approval. They have delivered significant noise reductions in areas where ground borne vibration was an issue and we honestly believe they are currently the best baseplate / fastening system on the market, especially in noise sensitive areas – they can also be tailored to an operator’s specific requirements.

“Our engineering partnership with Delkor has given us a world-class product which complements our range of resilient track support materials that Tiflex have manufactured in the UK for over 75 years”.
