RSS Infrastructure is pleased to announce that they have passed their full Principal Contractors Licence site audit. This is a huge accomplishment and allows the company to operate as a principal contractor in the UK. The Rail Operations team has worked hard to make this happen, and they are looking forward to what the future holds. Congratulations to everyone involved!
RSS Infrastructure Ltd has successfully passed its Principal Contractors Licence (PCL) audit, meaning it can now operate as a principal contractor in the UK rail sector.
The award-winning rail and construction specialists, which employs over 150 permanent staff, already had significant experience of working on major rail projects but the new PCL will give it greater control and increased efficiency on site.
Congratulations to everyone involved, particularly John Byrne and Simon Capper, for putting the work site together and to all those involved in delivering the perfect job.
No non-conformances were raised during the PCL audit, and the auditor felt the site was well arranged and the project was effectively managed.
Commenting on this achievement, John Byrne, Head of Rail Operations said; “This licence allows us to progress and opens up opportunities for larger more complex projects. Our team has worked extremely hard over many months to achieve this goal and I’m very proud of them all.”
Simon Capper, Head of Safety Critical Resource added; “Receiving our PCL is testament not only to our technical capabilities but also our health & safety credentials – both of which are paramount when working with clients.”
Managing Director Sean Harrison added: “Achieving our PCL has taken a lot of hard work from everyone in the business from Directors through to the teams out on track. Gaining our PCL licence has been a primary objective for the business, and we are proud to have finally achieved our goal. We now have an even stronger foundation on which to build our future success. I’d like to thank all my team for their dedication in making this happen.”
