We were delighted to welcome Jack Sargeant (MS) to DRB Group. After taking delivery, over the last few weeks of our two new Doosan CNC machines: SMX3100 mill-turn and VM750L milling machines, Jack was keen to view the latest editions that will continue to grow DRB Group machining capacity and capabilities.
Commissioning of the VM750L milling machine is complete and the SMX3100 mill-turn will be completed shortly. These will provide DRB with additional capabilities in the complexity of machined components manufactured. This is to support the challenges and growing demands from the industries we support, in continually developing production systems and components to improve operational efficiencies, reduce manual intervention, production downtime and increase component life.
State-of-the-art CNC machines to support industry’s operational needs.
The addition of these machines, along with our existing Doosan VCF850LSR II, vertical machining centre, Doosan Puma 2600XY turning centre and Doosan 3100XLY turning centre, plus our conventional mills and lathes, places DRB Group at the forefront of machining technology.
This gives us more flexible in meeting our customers’ needs and the ability to not only machine more complex components, but with increased accuracy and the ability to produce larger scale components.
Jack said “It is superb to see DRB Group’s vision and commitment to growth, which in the current climate is not always an easy task. They have continued to build their competitive edge and pro-actively moved forward, understanding and anticipating their customers and other industry sector challenges and requirements. With the investments in machinery along with their ongoing commitment to develop the skills needed through their apprenticeship and on-going staff training they are an excellent example of a forward-thinking business. I wish them on-going success and look forward to returning soon.”
