Our innovative semi-finished plastic sheet SIMORAIL opens up new possibilities for the interiors of passenger trains. The SIMORAIL grades give wide design flexibility for rail interiors enabled by their excellent thermoforming properties (even into complex components).
SIMORAIL has been developed to meet the EN 45545-2 (as well as NFPA130) standard and parts made from SIMORAIL meet the fire protection regulations for use in HL1, HL2 and HL3 applications.
The panels have tremendous physical and mechanical properties as well as an excellent surface finish which due to the integral colour of the sheet avoids the need for painting and ensures great durability.
SIMONA loves our environment and loves plastic. SIMORAIL panels make a valuable contribution to conserving resources by replacing heavier materials such as metal or glass fibre reinforced plastics thus reducing CO2 emissions.
SIMORAIL panels also have a particularly long service life and can be 100% recycled at the end of their product life cycle. We can incorporate recycled material into SIMORAIL without detriment to the physical properties and test certification. During production, we also take care to return material trim into the production process to minimise material loss.
