| For many of us Santander is probably viewed as ‘just a bank’. In reality they do much more to help UK business, including support for those aspiring to export. They have launched a series of Covid-19 webinars looking at various industry sectors and last week featured rail.
Santander believe that the rail sector is set for significant investment in the months and years ahead, with governments around the world identifying infrastructure as a key focus as they look to restart their economies in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Last week we were delighted to join the panel to provide views on the rail industry and examine issues, opportunities and solutions for the rail sector in the UK and abroad. Part of the webinar covers opportunities in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe, CEE, connectivity and wider assistance available. The webinar is hosted by John Carroll, Santander’s Head of International & Transactional Banking, who is joined by speakers Elaine Clark, Chief Executive Officer, Rail Forum Midlands (RFM) and David Brookes – Business Development Manager, Elite KL Ltd and Santander colleagues Halil Bedevi, Head of Rail, Aerospace, Defence & Advanced Manufacturing and Magda Crosa, Country Specialist for Poland, Germany and CEE.
