RFM is delighted to share the news that the Rail Employment and Skills Board at Derby College has been awarded Highly Commended in the category of Employment and Skills Board of the year at their annual awards.
This award recognises an Employment and Skills Board that has substantial impact and has provided placement and enrichment opportunities to a large volume of learners to inspire and inform regarding a particular industr
The Rail Employment and Skills Board is chaired by Rachel Turner from East Midlands Railway and consists of industry experts from a wide cross section of the rail industry.
Board members offer a range of opportunities to students across the College including Engineering, Digital, Land-based and Construction. The Board has continued to offer insight days, workplace visits, interview techniques workshops and work placements to enhance students’ employability skills and prepare them for the world of work.
