Westermo Data Communications, which recently joined RFM as a new member, has announced the acquisition of Virtual Access, an Irish-based technology company which specialises in wireless industrial routers and gateways and managed connectivity services.
Based in Dublin, Virtual Access has 40 employees and annual sales of approximately €12M.
With an earlier acquisition of Neratec Solutions AG, which specialises in WLAN solutions used within the railway industry, this latest acquisition provides Westermo with an extensive industrial wireless portfolio to support remote data networking applications in a broad range of demanding applications.
