RFM were delighted to support Dream Marketing with their first Rail Industry Technology Roadshow. The event which ran over the 18th-22nd June 2018 was a big success, having a footfall of 447 people across the five days.
RFM helped to co-ordinate the sites visited and also put Dream Marketing in touch with members both to promote the event and the opportunity to present their products/services.
The Roadshow visited Hitachi at Newton Aycliffe, Siemens at Ashby and Chippenham, Bombardier in Derby and Alstom in Wolverhampton. There were a wide range of exhibitors, each with their own stand and representatives, who were able to present their products, services and technologies on board a unique exhibition vehicle directly inside some of the most strategic rail sites in the UK.
The exhibitors included Atlas Copco; CE Turner; Destec; FliteTrak; GTMA; Hexagon; Hydram; Icomera; LPA Group; NewMet; Nord-Lock; Premier Group; RFM; Rowe Hankins; Roxtec; TRB; Trelleborg and Vector.
RFM have received positive feedback regarding the event from the companies visited and current members as well as attracting a number of new members:
“The roadshow on Friday was a good experience as it allowed all to network with and gain contacts in various areas in the railway and engineering sector. It showed various proven and successful solutions by external companies to problems that could possibly arise in the future, which could now be resolved easier with the knowledge and contacts gained.” – Dave Sanders, Head of Engineering Services, Alstom Traincare
“This is Flitetrak’s first exhibition with the rail roadshow. We have exhibited before in Hamburg, London and Dubai. I have found the team and quality of potential customers to be excellent. I look forward to being part of the next one.” – Andrew Barnett, Managing Director, Flitetrak Limited
“The Rail Industry Roadshow was a unique opportunity to showcase our capabilities to a target audience who you don’t normally get to interact with.” – Joanne Farms, Business Development Engineer, Hydram Engineering Ltd.
The success of the event points towards future Rail Roadshows, with anticipation of a similar event next year. If you are interested in getting involved in next year’s event, please contact sophia@midlandsrail.co.uk to register for early information.
