Derby-based Tidyco, a supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic products to the UK rail industry for over 40 years, is to attend the Responsible Business Champions reception being held at Westminster.
As part of an initiative to demonstrate transparent business ethics, Tidyco’s marketing manager and member of the Board of Directors for Rail Forum Midlands (RFEM) Barry; has been instrumental in developing a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility Statement of Intent.
During an official opening of additional manufacturing space by Amanda Solloway (then MP for Derby North), Barry was able to present a recently completed CSR project. Amanda was suitably impressed and nominated the company as Responsible Business Champion for her constituency.
The award is unique in that only MPs can nominate a business that they feel deserves such recognition.
Barry comments; “Amanda has been a fantastic supporter of both me as well as Tidyco and I am delighted to have been nominated towards a Parliamentary award for Responsible Business Champion. It is very exciting to think that I will be attending the reception on 22nd November 2017 which is the day after my 40th Birthday. What a fantastic Birthday present! Irrespective of the winner announced on the day, to reach this stage is extremely rewarding.”
Corporate Social Responsibility continues to be of significant importance regarding how businesses can best operate in an ethical manner. CSR transparency is incredibly important; the Tidyco CSR Statement of Intent is downloadable from the organisations corporate website as well as viewable in digital brochure format.
