Today HS2 formally launched the procurement of its fleet of trains with the issuing of the contract notice and pre qualification pack for potential bidders. The notice is based on the supply of a minimum of 54 trains plus 12 years’ maintenance and the associated expenses for a new fleet of trains. Further details can be found here.
Earlier this week RFM representatives met with HS2 rolling stock supply chain colleagues to continue our dialogue on behalf of members.
